Information to open (encrypted) RAR archives

If WinRAR or WinZIP are not available on your system, please read the following instructions to extract files from encrypted (*.rar) archives - Windows only:

1. If not available on your System, download "unRAR for Windows" from RARLAB
2. Open the downloaded file (unRAR for Windows) and extract the files to a folder (e. g. C:\Temp)
3. Save the received (encrypted) archive to the same folder (e. g. C:\Temp)
4. Open a commandbox (cmd.exe) and navigate to the folder containing the archive and the unrar.exe (e. g. C:\Temp)
5. To extract the files from the encrypted archive type: unrar.exe e <archivename.rar>
6. Enter the passphrase received in preposition by phone or by separate mail.
   

If you did not receive the passphrase in advance from the sender please contact the sender for the applicable passphrase by phone.

All commands are to be executed in "User-Mode", you don't need any administrative privileges on your system. If you use a Operating System other than Windows please contact your local administrator.
